Cycling Thailand
Thailand is truly cycling's best kept secret and one of the world's best places to bike. They have an excellent network of roads throughout the country, most with nice pavement and wide shoulders. And the Thais themselves are among the friendliest folks on the planet, everywhere you go it's "hello . . . where you go ? . . where you from ? . . how are you ?", even the truck drivers lean out the window to say "sawasdee khap" (hello) with a smile and a big thumbs up, as they pass. Combine this with the delicious Thai cuisine, renowned the world around for its delightful flavors, and spectacular landscapes, ranging from forest draped mountains to emerald green fields of rice to towering limestone outcroppings rising from turquoise seas to colorful, ornate Buddhist temples. Need we say more.
The team from Pedalers has been taking groups of cyclists to Thailand for tours in this wonderful country since 1987, far longer than any other tour operator. Over the years we have explored and discovered many different regions, villages and landscapes and draw on this knowledge to design our awesome rides through the Land of Smiles. We currently offer scheduled departures on four extraordinary road bike rides through this alluring, colorful and captivating country.

Why Bicycle Thailand with Pedalers ....
Experience
Team Pedalers has been organizing bicycle trips to Thailand longer than any other tour operator around today. The crew at Pedalers was responsible for organizing some of the first ever commercial cycling tours to Thailand back in 1987. And our pioneering route between Ayutthaya and Chiang Mai is still the most widely copied tour route today.
Local Expertise
Unlike our American counterparts who fly their staff to Thailand to lead a trip or two each year, our tour guides and support staff all live in Thailand. Our guide teams are a mix of Ex-Pats who have lived in Thailand for many years and native born Thais. They all know and love the country ... and want to introduce you to its many faces, flavors and experiences.
Hotels of Character
Our hotels are carefully selected to provide you with an outstanding stay, a chance to experience the regional flavors and lifestyle, and a very comfortable night's sleep. We seek out hotels that are locally owned, so that we keep our expenditures in the area where it benefits the local economy. We seek out hotels that embrace the region's traditional architectural styles and materials. We seek out hotels that offer all of the modern conveniences as well. As you peruse the alternative tours, you will find our Thai counterparts select their hotels based on who gives them the cheapest price, while our western counterparts choose overpriced deluxe hotels that provide a Hollywood-esque version of Thai style.
Quiet Back Roads and Scenic Vistas
As we mentioned on the previous page, Thailand is blessed with a great network of nicely paved roads. Thanks to an equally great network of major highways, the back roads and secondary highways enjoy low traffic levels and enjoyable pedaling. We spend a healthy portion of all tours enjoying these quiet back roads, as they roll through emerald rice paddies, past towering karst outcroppings and colorful Buddhist wats (temples). Routes are carefully crafted to provide the best and most scenic riding from start to finish.
Special Touches
We've searched out outstanding restaurants, where you can sample Thai cooking at its finest and most authentic ... no tourist oriented menus, just the best of local cuisine. Plus ... air conditioned support vans with enough seats to accommodate every guest ... complimentary use of a gsm cellphone with local Thai number during the trip ... traditional Yee Ping (fire balloons) launchings at the start each ride ... and more.
Go When You Want
Our Thailand trips can be scheduled to start when it is convenient for you. We offer scheduled dates for each trip, allowing you to join up with other riders, and we are happy to organize a special date for you and your friends as well. In addition to setting up a unique date for you, we can also customized a trip or create a new route for your group, club or company. These custom trips can range from easy coastal rides to challenging alpine journeys ... it is entirely up to you. Sound good ? Visit our Custom Trips & Private Dates page and submit your request today!
